Hi, I'm Sonali, the maker behind Sona Kreations.

If you traced my life backward, you'd probably find something handmade at every turn.

Back in India, it was quilling—coiling thin strips of paper into tiny works of art. Years later, during a lockdown that had everyone rethinking life, it became calligraphy: ink, nib, paper, and hours of quiet practice. Somewhere in between, I spent more than a decade building a corporate career, earned my Master's degree, and checked all the "right" boxes. But even then, it always felt like a creative part of me was waiting for its turn.

That moment came unexpectedly.

I found myself stopping on Instagram posts from independent artists whose handmade jewelry looked less like accessories and more like tiny sculptures. First came fabric jewelry, then clay. But it was wire wrapping that completely captured my attention.

A simple spool of wire, a few tools, beautiful stones and beads—and the freedom to create almost anything I could imagine.

That kind of freedom is rare.

I knew I had to learn it.

So I taught myself.

Late nights with YouTube tutorials, Pinterest boards, endless practice, and plenty of pieces that didn't quite work—until one finally did.

I still remember holding that first finished piece and thinking,

"I would wear this."

That single thought changed everything.

It was the moment wire wrapping stopped being a hobby and became something I wanted to share with others.

Today, every collection I create is built around that same standard.

If I wouldn't proudly wear it myself, it doesn't become part of Sona Kreations.

Every design is handcrafted by me in my home studio in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, where I live with my husband and our young son. I'm constantly learning and refining my craft, and I'm currently exploring multi-layer, free-form wire-wrapped cabochons—one of the most intricate and rewarding techniques I've worked on so far.

I don't believe beautiful things should be rushed.

Every bend of wire, every stone placement, and every finishing detail takes patience, practice, and intention.

One of my favorite moments isn't actually finishing a piece.

It's watching someone wear it for the first time.

There's always a tiny pause.

Then a smile.

Sometimes before they even say a word.

That moment reminds me exactly why I started.

Sona Kreations is intentionally small.

Every collection is handcrafted in small batches, giving each design the time and attention it deserves. No mass production. No shortcuts. Just thoughtfully made jewelry created with genuine care.

My hope is that when you wear a Sona Kreations piece, it becomes more than jewelry.

Maybe it's the necklace you reach for before an important meeting.

Maybe it's the earrings you wear on your anniversary.

Maybe it's the bracelet that reminds you of a special trip.

Or maybe it's simply the piece that makes you smile every time you catch your reflection.

Because that's exactly why I make them.
